My Bio
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Mira is currently attending college in Minnesota. She is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with a double emphasis in Illustration and Drawing; as well as a minor in English with an emphasis in Creative writing, and three certificates for Publishing, Pictorial book Illustration, and Sequential Art.

Artist statement:
Art is one of the few things that Science cannot analyze. It is not something you can study and come to a conclusion as to why it is we create such things. Art is the soul. A piece of a human being that we don't think on often. It is a part of who we are. Each time an artist puts their blood, sweat, and tears into their work, they are making that work a part of themselves.

I’ve been told a number of things lately. One of them being that there is no longer such a thing as originality, and that even the projects that I’m working on are unoriginal. I’m going to say that I wholeheartedly agree with that. Now don’t go running off, I’m not done yet. While I agree at the bare bones of things nothing is truly original anymore, I do believe in the power of the journey. The path that the story takes, the twists and turns that lead the reader to the final outcome of story. The bare bones of any story can be viewed as unoriginal.
